Julia Greenleaf Pitney is a native Mainer who grew up on Little John Island in Yarmouth. Julia practices in the areas of civil litigation, personal injury litigation, foreclosure, and employment law. She is admitted to practice in all state and federal trial courts in Maine. Before joining Drummond & Drummond in the fall of 2009, Julia spent three years practicing law in Lewiston, Maine where her practice focused on personal injury litigation, criminal defense and domestic relations. Julia is a 2006 graduate from the University of Maine School of Law. While attending law school, Julia was a member of the Maine Law Review and worked as a student prosecutor at the Cumberland County District Attorney's office in Portland., Prior to law school, Julia spent two years in Boston as a communications consultant at Watson Wyatt Worldwide, a global human resources consulting firm. Julia received a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in 2000 from Connecticut College where she majored in French and European Studies. Julia speaks French and spent two years in France studying and teaching English. Julia is a member of the Maine Trial Lawyers Association Women's Law Section of the Maine Bar, and the Gignoux Inn of Court. She is currently serving on the advisory board for the Casco Bay YMCA. Julia and her husband, Eliot, live in Brunswick with their daughter and two pointers. She enjoys cycling, skiing, camping and traveling.
